We Aren’t Endorsing Anyone. But . . .

We do have a special place in our heart for Mayoral candidate Joanna Rees because of her dedicated support for San Francisco schools. Ms. Rees shot two campaign spots on our green screen stage. For her “Yes on H” spot she brought a group of great kids on set to help put across her message. Her rapport with the young people was truly inspiring. Today is election day, so no matter […]

Viral Video Shot at 4th Street Studios–374,954 Viewers So Far

The most fun we have at 4th Street Studios is seeing the finished versions of videos shot here–especially when they go viral on You Tube. That’s what happened with the MC Hammer campaign spot for Ed Lee. It’s great seeing Portal-A’s strategy paying off big time! Full disclosure–a couple of those 374,954 viewers are us. Doin’ what we can to help our clients succeed. It’s all in a day’s work. If you’re one of the few people in San Francisco […]

Green Cyc Transformed to White–Without Painting!

Still photographer Mitch Tobias (www.mitchtobias.com) needed a big white cyc for a week-long photo shoot, but the budget didn’t have room for the painting fees required to paint over the green cyc then restore it back. No problem for 4th Street Studios! We have a 16′ wide – 25′ long white vinyl backdrop for rent that is a perfect matte  surface. Combined with our standard white cyc, the vinyl backdrop greatly expands our white shooting area. All without touching a […]

When video producer Carie Ferreira McGrane was booked by Oracle to produce video interviews for Open World she was faced with the working nursing mom’s dilemma: how to manage pumping milk for her infant while managing her job. It turns out that our Producer’s Suite is the perfect solution to her dilemma. It is sound-proofed, so […]

It’s even more convenient than ever to shoot at 4th Street Studios now that we’ve added the Proline 17 Teleprompter to our on-site equipment. Flip-Q Pro PC & Mac software is loaded in the unit. The Prompter has variable angle and height beamsplitter adjustment and comes with a wired scroll controller. Especially useful to out-of-town productions, our having the teleprompter on site can also cut down on the amount of gear locals need to bring when working at 4th Street […]

Mayoral Candidate on the green screen sound stage

This week we got to meet the new candidate for the Mayor of San Francisco, JoAnna Rees. JoAnna is a new comer to both the green screen stage at 4th Street, as well as to the political scene.  We don’t want to tell people how to vote, but we will say that we enjoyed having JoAnna and her entire team here at 4th Street Studios.
